Well normally he moans about having to go to the yard, hates putting the horses out and is a bit scared of them (Amber kicked him 2 days after we got her whoops). Anyway on friday I had period pains from hell, I've never ever had so much pain with them before. At one point I was curled up on the floor bawling my eyes out.
Simon (my OH) sorted me out with some strong painkellers, put me to bed and took the day off work so he could do the horses for me as YO and other livery were both working. YO got the afternoon off so went up to finish off the horses out and was very impressed!
He put 16.2 out who is a nightmare at the moment as he barges through you and threatens to rear if you tell him off and brought another pony in as his rug had slipped, so he took the rug off and gave him a groom. He also mucked out Amber which took him an hour- she does have a huge straw bed though. Normally he runs a mile as soon as I ask him lol.
Simon even took Amber for a walk although she was a bit naughty too. Still she has been stabled much of the time since the snowy weather (decided it would be safer for her and the baby), though she has been getting plenty of walks and fuss.
Bit of a self-indulgent post, but I was so grateful to him and so proud. Now if only I can get him to muck out on weekends...
