So my 15 year old Border x Lakeland terrier had a seizure and sickness last Friday, I took him straight to the vets who said he had recovered back to normal very quickly and there were no signs of anything to be concerned about which is great. He seems absolutely fine in himself and is bouncing around the place with his toys quite happily and playing with his much younger springer friend. The thing is I am terrified now that this is the start of the end and I am so worried about him, I know that this could just have been a one off but equally it could re-occur but I don't want to be worrying every minute but I just can't help it. I lost a springer who had a seizure one day and then another couple a few days after so I guess that experience hasn't helped. Any words of wisdom appreciated thanks.

Oh bless him. I don't have that much experience with seizures but sounds like he has bounced back. Try not to worry, no need to pass any stress onto him if, as you say, it might be a one off. He's a grand age.

If he's the chap in your siggy he looks fab :)

The vet sounds happy with his progress so i'd just try to keep life normal for him.

You've obviously done a good job for the last 15 years, sure there's plenty of life in the old dog yet :)

One of the vets i used to work for always said every dog is ok to have one and if they have more they can be monitered (sp) and treated. He is a fab age try not to worry and enjoy him he sounds as if he has forgot about it already :)

Not really any experience of seizures but if he has recovered quickly and the vets are not concerned I would try not to worry (easier said than done I know). He certainly does look good for 15, hope you have him for a good long while yet.
