My Old Horsie

My old mare Bambina has been having lameness problems for the last couple months. She has bad athritis in her front coffin joint and so far is unresponsive to treatment. The vet has said to retire her and turn her out to pasture. I went down yesterday saw her and her owner, she is certainly uncomfortable, even at the walk. The owner is really nice, and is asking getting a second opinion and we will certainly give this horse a very good chance, but at this point who knows.

Poor girl - she is probably the prettiest horse I have ever owned.

she's lovely - hope she responds to the treatment. At least either way you will know you have done right by her even if that does mean pts.
