I lunged my oldie today for a change and he decided it would be fun to spend most of the session snorting and spooking at silly things like someone walking through a door, doors closing and another horse getting a smack a good 50m away :o

needless to say, we didn't get a lot done.
I suppose I should be greatful that he's still got it in him to act like an idiot although, thankfully, he doesn't act like that under saddle :p

anybody else's oldies feeling half their age? :p

YES! Toque, who is 18 years old and should know better, tried to buck me off on Sunday and very nearly succeeded! He does his little rocking horse bucks, which don't even move you out of the saddle, but then he did a massive one and dropped his shoulder, I nearly went out the side door!

I am playing him on the weekend, he will tank me up and down no doubt!

It's always good when they're full of life at an older age!

My boy is 21 and still acts like a 3yo! We were schooling in a 3 acre field last night and I asked him to pop into canter. We had a lovely lap of half the field followed by a lap and a half of what he wanted to do!

He really does make me laugh!
