My lovely dog Lass had to have an eye removed last week - there was a growth within the eyeball and after taking her to an eye specialist they decided the best thing was to remove the eye as the sight had already gone in it.
I took the gang to the beach yesterday and it was hard to believe it was barely 10 days since the op. The wound has completely healed and the bruising and swelling gone. Once the hair grows back she will be looking fine.
Only thing now is to bring her back during the week - my vet sent the eye away for testing so hopefully there was nothing malignant. Anyway she said that there was no trace of a lump of discolouration in the socket after they had removed the eye.
So anyway, I'm thinking of getting her a patch and calling her Pirate Jenny. I'm just so glad its over and she is her loony self again. She's 10 years old and still charging around like a pup.
