went up yesterday and found one of my ponies with facial wounds at 1st i though he had caught himself ie putting his head through the fence but not so,
one wound on his cheek is sliced with downwards trail the other much bigger and deeper wound straight through the throat
like as in two fingers deep to knuckle. shall report it today as was with him all night last night as vets came up yard and performed a 2hr sugery to fix him up both wounds needed stitches the bigger one you could see rght through to the bone, so had stiches inside and out lucky just missed neerves and artery
did read on here something about kent -- slashes
can some one put up the link for me to read again
both wounds have straight edges with downwards trail ie deep at top to bottom
kept pony in with polywarm as he was chilled after the op

cant be sure but will report it just incase as i have had this pony for 2yrs nearly and my place is my own did look but cant find anything to cause such a wound

i have had this before like as in 17yrs ago but was 2 ponies then both facial one had slashes to his cheek and nose the other had his eyebrows chopped of nearly vets did a marvelous job of saving them-

so i am pissed off- to say the least so kent people beaware
give you an up date on his condition later

OMG I hope your pony recovers soon, it's just horrific I was the original poster about the incident in Kent, and am in contact with some people invertigating. Where abouts is your pony kept? Huge hugs to you and your pony! xx

its not two wounds as such its one hole large one entry wound the other hole is the where the tip of the knife went exit wound

what i thought was 2 holes which it is and tought he had been stabbed twice is in fact once which now makes perfect sense
the pony is ten times better today
but now wary of people--
the police have been informed and are investigating the matter

but whats even more scarey is this was done during the day
i lleft yard at 11.30 and came back at 4.4.5 the vet said this wound was no more than 2hrs old
which i just cant get my head round - they are comming back tomorrow to have another ganfer and more questions
and also garage nearby might have some cctv footage

I'm so glad your pony is slightly better today. I can't believe this happened during the day, it's just shocking! Hope you have some luck with the cctv footage!

That is truly shocking. Hope your pony makes a full recovery and isn't too traumatised after such a horrible thing. The scum who did this should have the same done to them...

i thank you for your concerns for me and my boy
hes a lot better today and has finish his anti biotics
but still has bute to end of week

hes now a bit wary of people - which is understandable

the police are going to have a word with vets
and looking into the footage if any
but becuase i back onto the motorway
are giving that some thought to
as i am 20mins from canterbury

i am in the maidstone area it will be posted on kent horsewatch later as i have emailed them
