My farrier come out to give my 1 year old nf a trim and told me hes got very high heels and boxed feet, now I dont know much about what I can do but has anyone ever had any experience of this and what can I do to help?

Your farrier will have to come regularly, think two to four weeks (to remove heel growth) to prevent the feet becoming boxed/upright and hopefully be able to counteract the problem otherwise you could end up with contracted tendons.

The shape of a horses feet does not dictate or indicate wether or not they are prone to laminitis. All horses and ponies should be treated as if they could get laminitis.

Its only if the feet have changed shape that this could be an indicator of a laminitis attack however that does not sound like the case and i would think that your farrier would have spotted it and mentioned it too you.
