I've just been up to drive again and wow what a difference in a week! She feels so strong and confident. Shes working in a little outline and starting to really bend through her body now. I am thrilled. I spent some time with her today, just brushing and faffing about as I thought she probably deserved a bit of a fuss! I pulled her tail as well as it was ridiculoulsy long and fluffy and was filthy. A wheel barrow of hair later and she still has an enormous bushy tail!

The tail itself. Still a work in progress! I will eventually pull it tidily but I didnt want to do too much today as even using a rake it must pull and be a bit uncomfortable when its so thick!

I also had a proper look at her stood up and was shocked how much she has changed. Shes only just 5 so she still has some maturing to do, but shes starting to look like a grown up pony now. She has some topline starting to develop and has finally dropped the last of the weight she was carrying

Bobbie when I viewed her

Definitely looking trimmer and sportier! Very smart. I’ve followed your OST’s but don’t often comment, really nice to see what a nice pony she is and how happy you are with her.

Cor look at that tail! Having a sweetitch horse, he only fleetingly has a decent tailhead...

She looks super - much trimmer and I love the hog too.

Shes just a pleasure to own. I drove her again today. I'm much worse at this than she is! Shes lovely, I seem to have forgotten how to hold my reins  Shes staying for another week , so the plan is for me to go most days and drive her and get our working relationship going, while under the watchful eye of the breakers. Then they are going to take us both to our very first indoor driving trial next Sunday. The idea is just to baby her round, but it gets us out and about whilst making sure we have tons of support and help. The guy who has done most of the breaking work is going to back step for me which will be brilliant.

I cant believe that shes gone from a chubby, hairy ball of filth and mud who occasionally pottered about on long reins, to an clean, smart, driving pony who is ready to start her competition career

I feel your pain with the tail btw, Think I am going to invest in a rake to keep Dolls managable

I raked the sides to tidy it, then did loads and loads from the underneath but lower down. Thats what really thinned it out. I then combed it all out and ran the rake through the bottom of it as well, and then trimmed the edges and bottom with the scissors. It just kept coming! She loved it as well, her little lip was going the whole time, so it must get hot and itchy for them when its so stupidly thick!
