For the past couple of days everytime I have taken my mare in the school or cantered out on a hack she is very 'up and down' she has loads of energy but is'nt going anywhere.
I try to push her forward when she does this but she does'nt listen to my leg. She has just had her teeth done and the back lady has just been out today (she has her back checked every 4 -6 months as she had quite a few problems approx 18 months ago) so I know she is'nt in pain!
It is really doing my head in even if I try to bring her back to a walk or trot she is still bouncing around like Tigger on speed
. I feel like giving her a big smack with a stick but she would go mad if I did this as she is petrified of whips bless her!
Any thoughts on what I could do, she is'nt having anything heating to eat she has a handful of good doer and 1/2 a small scoop of economy mix twice a day and gets worked 5 to 6 days a week for about 60 - 90 mins a time!!
