My pony's weird - licking drain covers and skinning noses. And loose teeth.

My baby cob makes me laugh.:D

Today we went out for a walk, which we haven't done for ages and he's so funny. :o

As soon as he sees something interesting he totally looses the ability to walk in a straight line and veers off towards it. Since 'interesting' encompasses pretty much everything from wheeliebins and big white builders bags to lamposts and kids in prams, we don't spend a lot of time going in the correct direction  At least he's bombproof.

However his new favourite trick is what I can only describe as 'road skimming'. He goes along with his rather ample moustache brushing along the surface and playing with the grit. Every now and again he'll pick something interesting up (large stone or a twig) and shake it about before offering it to me then throwing it away.

Except he doesn't watch where he's going and he tripped over and skinned his poor nose :o So his very impressive moustache now has a bald patch.

He has also become fascinated with drains. He creeps up to them, snorting, before peering down inside. Then he snorts loudly down into it and spooks himself with the echo, and scuttles off, snorting all the more. Then repeats it with every single open drain we come across. Possible not the brightest button in the box :o

That I can live it - it makes me giggle. However he also like to LICK the metal drain cover, which is frankly disgusting. He gets dragged off as soon as he starts but he's a determined little sod and keeps trying.

He is so entertaining and such a refreshing change from The Drama Queen. Whilst Toby's sole purpose when make to go hacking is to a) survive and not get eaten and b) make home in one piece as quickly as possible, Piper LOVES to explore. He doesn't want to go home, he wants to investigate. I'm pretty sure that if let off to his own devices he would spend days just wandering about exploring, with no thoughts of going home. Unlike certain silly horses who would (and has:mad: ) gallop home ASAP.

And finally, just a picture showing off him nice new nashers coming though, and a little of his very manly moustache. I wanted to keep that loose tooth but it wasn't quite loose enough to pull off and the next day it was gone :(

Bless him he sounds as though he's going to be one brave horse before long.

Last time the farrier visited I thought Bella was licking the windows of his Landy :o Turned out to be one of the geldings though but she was giving it a thorough investigation :p
