How can one horse court so much bad luck.
In jan he had major surgery for hock spavins just starting to recover and he stood on a four inch nail.A few weeks later he bruised his feet and goes lame then throws a splint.Today I was supposed to be riding him in trot for the first time in months and daughters mare has kicked him just below the knee a inch short of splint.Just hoping that it hasnt reopened fracture from the splint .
Last year was the same tendon ligament cannon bone bruising when is it going to end.All optimism has gone out of the window .
I have mc timoni booked for tomorrow to check his back out before he starts full work looks like thats not going to happen again. Not sure how long he will be lame with this injury.

I suppose it is a bit like some of us ... getting into scrapes all the time and always being in the wrong place at the wrong time

Hope things improve for you soon, we had a dreadful year upt to easter this year (if that makes sense) including people injuries, I'm sure that you and your horse will turn the corner soon.

I thought we had until this happened .He must be doing all his in two years better not do anymore last warning and red card spring to mind.Like Loobie said Im not alone just frustrated lol

I had a C*** year last year - 2 horses down with strangles, then a fractured cannon bone - endless box rest/vets bills/hard work - totally fed up...things will get better - remeber- what doesn't kill us makes us stronger......good luck x

Oh poor Ollie. I thought he was being kept in tiny paddock so he couldnt injure himself/get injured?

I hope he is alright in himself ... evidently he just wants to be a very expensive pet. I have one too - think they have formed some kind of union?
