My 11 year old Cairn x dog was diagnosed with a tumour in his jaw about three weeks ago
He had four teeth removed to make him more comfortable and the vet said as long as he is eating/drinking ok and wants to go out then see how he goes.
He's very depressed ( this happened so suddenly he was always a very lively dog! ) he will go out for a walk and he loves his mashed up dog food. He can't open his mouth much because he yelps in pain, so just sleeps all day.
Is it safe to give him some paracetomol or some kind of painkiller?
I can't bear seeing like this and I know I will have to make the obvious decision, I'm trying to hang on a bit so all my kids can come up and see him over christmas, which sound really selfish I know but I though my little dog would live forever
I'm so sad
Thanks
