Hi, im at the extreme end of breeding!! my mam has one of the biggest rescues in the XXXXXXXX, Im dead against breeding, esp designer X breeds, im summising thats a yorki x chihuahua? I will give you a few pointers though, most of these dogs are bred by back street breeders wanting to line their pockets (probably never worked a day in their lives), and in others words niether parent dog is health tested and both of those breeds suffer commonly with heart problems and luxating patellars (problems with the knee caps) as well as problems with the eye ball and tracheal collapse (leading to lots of coughing and breathing problems) so you are getting double the problems.
When you do ask for prof of health tests dont be alwarmed if the answer is "yeah they are in good health, I have never had them to the vet for anything" or "well you can see it looks healthy" or "yeah the vet has checked it over".
You could end up paying stupid amounts for an expensive dog that costs you the earth in vet fees.
I would recommend you go to a recommended breeder and get a puppy from health tested parents, you will pay half the price for a pedigree with health tests than a designer X breed with a possibility of all the health issues under the sun or a rescue center, we currently have 2 pedigree puppies in for example.
Also ask for proof that parent dog has been vaccinated we have just had 2 puppies handed in and they all had parvo its pretty rife in the XXXXXXX at the moment.
