Decided last week to pull the Ivy off the wall that was growing under our lounge window and discovered a nest with 6 eggs. Had a little panic and wove some Ivy back in hoping mum would come back. She did and today 3 little eggs have hatched 
Apparently they lay one egg a day so they should all hatch over the next couple of days. If I hang out the bedroom window I can just about keep an eye on them.
Told OH when he came home from work not to disturb that area and he said there's blackbirds in the clematis by the front door Had a look through the window and there she is with 5 big chicks Glad he told me as that was on my 'what to cut back next' list. We can watch them through the window and they're not bothered. The dogs sit on the window sill and bark at people passing and it doesn't phase them. I did try to take pics but you just get reflections.
So who needs Springwatch when I've got it all going on at either side of my lounge window
