my saddle dyed my jhods black !

was at pc the other day in my cream jhoddies riding on my black clean saddle and it suddenly poured with rain got off and luckily my jhods werent see-through but i had black marks all down my bum and when i took off my chaps there were blac lines where i was wearing them !
my mum washed them with all the vanish and stain remover etc and stillcant get these marks out
anyone have this problem is it my black saddle? should i clean it with something else? is the dye coming out? how do i get the stains out ?

Always happens to me Have never found a way to get it out.... best chance you've got is soak them in cold water and vanish ASAP...

Ummmm maybe change cleaner as you haven't had this problem before until you used new cleaner!! x

When i came to pc in afternoon (when i was horseless)it had been raining and you had used a different saddle cleaner!! You didn't have black jods then!!

Oh dear ! You could try soaking them in warm water with a little bleach added, you could buy Dye removers from most supermarkets, or try a gentle scrub (with a nail brush) using carpet shampoo.

You can buy a product called Resolene which seals the leather, this might help to prevent damaging your Jods in future ( riding in the rain could get a bit costly).

We brought that soap at Gatcombe and that was before Gatcombe, it must be down to saddle and cleaner!! My chaps make my cream jods go black how do you know i haven't ridden in that much rain?? x

I promise u that rally was afte gatcombe as i have used that cleaner 3 times ... Before pc then before marden then before pc again. Also we went to gatcombe on the 8th and pc rally was on the 10th if u dont belive me look at the calendar on tues
