I was staying at pony club camp for a week and somebody took my nice dressage saddle and swapped it for a similar one.

The one they have replaced mine with is falling apart; the stitching is coming undone and all the stuffing is coming out.

They even swapped the name tags around so at first I didn't notice.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED, I have to go to Mattingley on the weekend and I dont have a dressage saddle, unless I really want to use one thats completely falling apart.

You really should be able to trace it if it was a PC camp..
How many people can possibly have had your make and size saddle, very few I'd have thought.
I would contact the DC and the instructor who taught your group, they are likely to recall what saddle was identical to yours if the groups were not that huge, remember they got checked for cleaning a lot if it was like any PC camp I ever saw..
Fight back and don't let them get away with this, just go down the line of they made a mistake not theft, and you may be able to get yours back..
What a bl**dy sneaky low life trick to play....

Yeah I've already talked to my DC, but I think it might have just been a person from outside of the camp because the college camp is easily accesible to anybody.

Plus I couldnt imagine anyone in my pony club actually doing that kind of thing.

That is awful, can you claim on insurance for it? People are so cheeky, hate to say it but must have been someone on camp to have been able to swap saddles

I'm amazed that you didn't notice, unless you didn't use it after the swap. I know every scratch, dent and mark on mine.

Before the next camp make sure that your saddles are marked with your post code, so this can't happen again.

Does the PC camp insurance not cover this as it counts as theft?
I'm afraid I too go with the PC members no matter how nice, it would be hard for anyone else to be there long enough to go and find their saddle to swap it etc..

How awful. This a sad state of affairs, at our camp this year 4 saddles were slashed or scraped. Probably by a younger PC member. Sad, eh?
It's not 'your' saddle with damage done? Or can you tell it's different?
We had to lock the tack rooms for the first time ever..

I hradly ever use my dressage saddle, as it's my least favourite discipline, which is why I didn't notice for a while.

It's all fine now though, I've found out that it was accidentally swapped before I went to camp so I have my old saddle back
