Just thought I would share what the snow in this part of Norway is like now :-)

Picture of the farm this evening a few hours ago, followed by what the kids have built on the sand school. My husband used the tractor and plough to gather up some snow for them to build a snow house with tunnels :-)

I have to admit I am a bit of a whimp when it comes to riding in the snow. I have snow studs but still find it all a bit scary, also when the snow melts as this time of year we get so much low sun (which is beautiful) it can be so slippery even though it is still -8.

In heavy periods of snow like this I just let my two be horses, they play all day in the fields and come in at night. Plenty of time for riding when there is no snow.

Up side of no riding I get all those jobs done that I keep putting off, tack cleaning, sorting tack room out, tidying manes and tails that kind of stuff.

As well as lots of fun with the kids, the quad bike, some rope and sledge is soooo much fun ;-)
