Son has been banned from the forum! (He posted the fat man on a fallabella joke post.) Not really sure why. He is denying any wrongdoings. Should he be punished further. Suggestions please....

I thought it was quite funny, although I guess not everone has a sense of humour round here.

depends onwhat he said! i should know as i had a 7 day ban recently, it does teach you a lesson in manners and respect--someone would have taken offence as admin doesnt read all the posts.

Wow, didn't see anything even mildly offensive on that thread and others seemed to enter into the spirit.

Some people must have a permanent chickens ar*e for a mouth, all that pursing of lips :D

Well sorry to all the above I saw it and just decided to ignore.

For those who didn't see it was a post purporting to be someone who had a tiny falabella and saying that he rode it. A picture was then posted of a very large man and then one of a very tiny pony.

A number of people called the poster a troll and tbh the post WAS a troll post: Someone thinking it's funny to post something outrageous. It certainly wasn't a joke along the lines of "knock knock who's there".

To those who did find it amusing may I direct you to: This thread

Oh for goodness sakes, people need to get over themselves and get a sense of humour implant, it must be very lonely for them at the top of their ivory towers:mad:

I admit I did not see the thread but it is fairly obvious it was made in jest, why call him a troll fgs!

I made the following thread some months back - not one person called me a troll, that's because they saw the funny side of it

I haven't seen it, and I can't find it either, but it sounds a bit silly and pointless.

However, if being "silly" and "pointless" were adequate grounds for a ban, then the bulk of "soapbox" would evaporate!!

A ban sounds rather heavy handed, to me. Don't know.

Alec.

ETS, Nolan, what was VAGSBH? I missed it. PM me, if it's safer!

The link isn't amusing.

Sorry, never really replied to your OP. Should he be punished further - no, why should he be. He made a troll post to cause deliberate controversy, he's been banned from the forum. Why should he deserve further punishment?

The first six or seven people who replied to the falabella thread whilst the OP's son was posting as a "genuine" person didn't find the post amusing either.

I only found the thread amusing after the person had posted the photos and was clearly a troll, that they had nothing better to do than attempt to wind people up.

But the other link is rather distressing, I don't get why some one would use the photographs to try and advertise their horse? Very strange.
