hi everyone just wanting some advice on my 16yr old tb, i bought her a year ago and had this problem with her that every time i went out on her she would get really nervous and start going round in circle or standing still and wouldn't move only backwards it was like she was giving me a warning to get off her, so i decided to take her bk to basic and it seemed to work for a few days then she just went back to being very jumpy, i was told there could be a problem with her back so got some one to come take a look and there's was nothing wrong with it so back specialist told me it could be her teeth so got dentist out and she had too have teeth removed so i told him problem i was having with her and he told me to try calmers.i went and bought some and after a couple of days it was like i had a different horse and shes been on these calmers for just under a year and after all this time she has now gone back to when i bought her and was just wondering if she could be used to the calmers as im stuck on what to do

many thanks mark

I'd want to be checking the health risk of using a calmer longer term to start with. Have you had your saddle checked ? It could be worth contacting an experienced fitter to look at your saddle. There has been some recent recommendations on fitters. This would be my first port of call.
