My TB is such a cheeky monkey!

He does make me smile. Set up is this, 6 stables in a covered barn, horses in 4, chickens in 1 and feed in the other. Im always on my own at night so I let him out to wander round the barn whilst I skip out and get his tea ready, then tie up to groom, do hooves and change rugs. In the course of an hour, he manages to open the stable where the chickens are, pick up the broom and poop scoop and walk off with them, let himself into the feed room, tip the lid off the hifi and tuck in and when tied up he can undo just about any combination of knot, he never goes anywhere, just waits to see if I notice. If I dont acknowledge how clever he has been, he very gently pulls at my hair or collar. Don't worry, I never take my eyes off him so he's not in any danger, he just has such a sense of humour and I really enjoy the interaction with him. Never fails to cheer me up after a day at work

sounds adorable!!! was talking to next door neighbour through stable bars the other day, horse decided to come and almost sit on my shoulder with a "what ya doing? this is my time, me me me" kind of expression on his face

Mine says:
"Right, where's my grub? You don't expect me to go in THERE do you, there's a tiger hiding in the corner. Leave my surcingles alone or I'll kick you - and this time I'll mean it. Bloody hell, there's a rather alarming wall in front of my food.
There's a pink vampiric monster with claws disguised as my water bucket. Clean up this wee - peasant, and don't forget to put carrots in my speedibeet for the morning.
Now bu*ger off!!"

Haha, I love cheeky horses! Today I was fumbling around trying to put the Welsh D's rug on so he could go out and join his friends in the field, and he obviously thought I was taking too long because he decided to lean over the door, undo the bolt and let himself out! I didn't know he could do that... I'm going to be VERY paranoid about the kick-bolt from now on! We've got a couple (including the Welsh) who like to grab brooms and wave them around as well, or throw things across the barn if you're not paying attention to them. Lots of things have been broken this way, but at least it's more entertaining than weaving or door-kicking.
