Yesterday I was riding and my treeless saddle kept slipping to the side. Girth was tight. My boy is a bit porky at the moment and is on a diet. Does anyone know of a pad for treeless saddles that will stop it slipping. Or what else I could use

not sure if this is any help, but i read somewhere that a damp chamois (used 4 car cleaning) put under the saddle stops its slipping.

Wether this works or not im not sure, would be a cheap fix for now if it does.

I ride my big girl in a treeless saddle with a sticky pad under her specialist numnah. The saddle may be slipping due to your position?? check your stirrups to see if they have stretched. I always use a breast plate with my treeless to help prevent slippage x

A chamois (doesn't have to be damp) will do the trick, and it's natural, unlike a limpet, so better for the horse. My only thought is that if your saddle has only just started slipping, it may be that your horse is carrying you wonky (or you are riding wonky

) so it's worth making sure both you and he are ok back-wise as well.

A client of mine was complaining that her treeless was slipping to the right and she kept falling off to the right, so I took some photos of her and showed her that she sat so crooked and lopside it was a wonder she didn't fall off in halt
