Well I'm not sure who will remeber me posting about my horse and her peeing problem but there has been significant improvement
We had the vet out to scan her ovaries as we thought it may be a hormonal thing. We found one ovary bigger than the other, nothing significant. He took bloods anda sample for an inhibin test (sent of to america to test for tumours in her ovaries). He also referred us for physio as her was very sore by the stage and she was 1/20 lame.
She was off for a month untill everything with physio and tests to come through. The bloods showed muscle damage, inhibin was clear too, we were VERY baffled at this so presumed she'd been kicked or something.
Physio came out had a feel, found some bruising which healed up wtih magnetic field strength therapy.
So where was this all coming from?!?!
HER SADDLE
Was absolutley livid after finding out it was fitting perfectly by reputable saddler. They have fixed it now though, physio is very pleased with her improvement but thinks this wasn't just the problem, her conformation is pretty rubbish and this has not helped (the way she walks makes her saddle slip off to one side)
We believe the excessive urination was coming from the saddle slipping onto her back and making peeing very uncomfy so she couldnt do it properly.
Seems to be all on the up now, had my first hack in a month now and she seems tonnes happier. We've got exercises to do and she needs some remedial shoeing ue to her crap confo. (dropping down heavy on her near hind forelock, not exactly great for her tendons)
Bit long sorry, cookies for those who reach here, I'm a very happy mummy now!
