Sure you'll find something

Try to pick yourself up, dust down your CV and start hunting
You may find aomehting much better
And if nto, temp work or stack shelves in supermarket night shift during the summer months while you are looking.
What sort of work do you do?

I have been working building links for website, i use to do mainly office admin work. I want to work with animals which is why had planned on starting my own herd.

how long have you been there - just want to make sure they are paying you enough. there are lots of temp jobs out there so you will find work easy enough.

Go to a reputable agency - even if its for your admin or web capabilities.

They will save you alot of the legwork, ive used a few very successfully for getting permanent jobs not just temping.

I think you'll need a good office .admin, website job to keep your herd.
OR look for a job working with animals.

Working with anmals tends not to pay enough to be able to keep many animals.

We're desperate for staff right now - but think it maybe a bit far to commute.

Slightly differently I handed my notice in with no job to go too (it was either that or end up banged up for murder to mental instablity!) I was panicking but everybody seems quite desperate for people with half a brain. I'm sure you'll find something - you may even get better money!

I thought you absolutely hated your job and were looking to leave anyway? Perhaps they picked up on those vibes?

As others have said, any decent agency will be able to find you some office work with no problem so get registering with them asap

Ive been here since march they been paying me £5.50 an hour. It hasn't been the best of jobs but its security isnt it, pays for your horses and everything else. I don't want to give my plans up though now am so close to them coming home!

Well you should easly get that rate of pay doing anything a all.
And more if you go for permanent web based job in a company.

When you get them home, you'll need to keep then , so look for a long term well paid job, via agencies, monster etc.

Where are you based? If it is office Admin work you are looking for Temp work is good money and good temps are hard to find. I used to work in recruitment so let me know where you are near and I'll send you some good websites that i know of.
Most temp jobs are £7 ph plus so i think you will get better money.

You could definitely get a better wage elsewhere hun - it is easier said than done but try not to panic - get the jobs pages from the paper, get to the job centre, enquire at a temp agency or two. Even waitressing as a stop gap while you are looking for something better paid can be profitable - I waitressed for a couple of months when I first moved to Nottingham and was walking away with at least £20 in tips per evening on top of my wages.

Oh Amy, that must have been quite a shock.

Take a deep breath and go to temping agencies and look for jobs on line as well as in the papers.

Supermarkets are always looking for staff.

There is always something out there.

Check your contract with your current employers, should they not give you 4 weeks notice as well as any holidays due?

Do not panic, you will find something and it will most likely be something that you enjoy doing.

Hang in there.

x

Agree about registering with an agency, they will match that wage easily - you might even find yourself on more money and a better job - it's happened to me lots of times

Try not to panic, you will find something else

Amy stop crying and stop panicking sit down and listen.

£5.50 per hour is minimum wage you can earn that anywhere :-

Late night shelf filler at a supermarket

Mucking out someone else stables

Doing someones garden etc etc

First step is get yourself a CV

If you want the same sort of job base it on your experience
if you want something different then do a skills based CV

First steps write down every job you have ever done.

If you want help with your CV PM me and I will give you my email address.

I stress the first step is to calm down the second is to get a CV together

Dont forget the golden rule no matter how you disliked the previous job you turn it into a positive when you go for an interview and smile.

Probably not what you want to do, but Aldi pay £9.50/hr ! It might do for a stop-gap. Also they are advertising for managers at my local Aldi store at £35-£40 K

Yep, you can get more than £5.50 an hour cleaning. Very sad to be losing the job, but at least you have some notice to go and get something else.

I joined a temp agency and ended up getting the job I was doing full time.

I would suggest temping for you because it normally pays more than £5.50

Sorry to hear about your bad news, I hope you find something quickly and everything works out for you as soon as possible.
