My boy goes very well in his - a loose ring comfort snaffle. He's a polite horse, and doesn't even need a noseband, so generally a light contact on this very kind bit is appreciated by him and he always takes the bit himself when having his bridle on.

End of day depends on your horse mine loves hers has a pelham and snaffle. old horse really no difference. they are expensive but so far have not paid full price for one! got both second hand just have to be in right place at right time!
