Tried one of these on my horse the other day and he went really well in it, so......are there two bits, the Myler loose ring comfort snaffle and the Toklat version? Because...everywhere I look it says the comfort snaffle is dressage legal with the right cheek pieces (ie a loose ring would be fine) but the toklat has three tiny copper strands set into it on each side and therefore I would have thought would not be dressage legal as not one substance? Also, Myler advisers insist the Myler loose ring comfort snaffle is dressage legal though states it is sweet iron? I used the toklat one and am not sure if this is one and or the same thing? Hope that's not too confusing!! Answers and advice appreciated!
PS Would love one in a 5 3/4 if anyone has one that needs a home!

Your bit will have MYLERS stamped on one ring and TOKLAT stamped on the other ring. If bought in this country it will be sweet iron, if bought in America it could be either sweet iron or stainless steel, either way it should have 3 or 4 strips of copper on each side just inside the mouth piece. Whether it is stainless steel or sweet iron it IS dressage legal. It's not available in 5 3/4", but Toklat will make anything any size if you want, but, boy do they know how to charge.

fabulous, thank you so much for all your help that's great news! PS Do you know anything about the sizing of Mylers....should I go up to a 6 or down to a 5.5 ?

Thanks again

I'd go down, but if you get one from a bit bank and it's wrong....you can send it back
