I posted this in stable/ yard by mistake but it should really be here.
My girl has a long story. Back problems for a while then last year decided to have scans done to see if anything going on (including hind leg that was slightly lame then) but nothing showed up. After 6 weeks of field rest and gradual bringing back into work I have had a fantastic year with physio/ back person commenting how she had been so well as not seen in a long time. Now she seems to be back to problems... I noticed some uneven steps behind during riding (especially at first) arching of the back after getting on (this usually resoves itself after a few mins) and generally being tight over the back (this was also commented on at our recent dressage comp (we only did walk and trot and a prelim). Have alerted my back person to come and see her asap but appointment not until end of the month. Worried now as it seems our past is catching up with us again. Not sure what the matter could be as she was thoroughly checked through at the Royal Vet college last year (hence I am now approaching physio first)... what could be wrong? Where shall I start, give her time off completely for a bit?
Oh, I also had her saddle checked recently and it was re-flocked so should be ideal fit at the mo.
I fear that she may no longer be covered by insurance for this as the time frame after initial treatment and diagnosis has elapsed...
