My horse was diagnosed with bi latera stifle OCD in May and went for the op, she is now 13 weeks post op and her back end is much improved (even the vet is amazed at how well she is doing) however the horse is now displaying front left lameness, its slight and even vet had trouble seeing it initally until they trotted her up and saw her head nod. Physio has been out as frst thought she might be a bit sore from all the surgery and box rest rehab. However physio came, found a few sore spots sorted them and when I trotted her up after she was noticably worse, physio also thought lame in front left. Vet been back out, nerve blocked front left foot and she was still trotting up unsound so lameness not in foot although vet did say she did have thrush and had developed false soles in her front feet (farrier due out next week to sort) but if she was still lame when foot was nerve blocked I dont think its the thrush/ false soles causing lameness? I am utterly confused and not sure what to do next, vet has said get her reshod, give her a week then see what she is like but would like some potential ideas as to what could be going on as my horse has been through so much and to come this far from stifle ocd to discover another lameness is very crushing for me.
Any ideas appreciated.
