A few months ago end of july my mare went lame whilst i was riding her the vet came out and thought it was an abcess he said to turn her away for a few weeks and see how she was and start riding her which i did and she was ok.then whilst riding her in the menage a couple of weeks later she went lame again. This time she had a rotated pelvis which was causing her discomfort the back man came out and set it back in place and came out the second time to check it and all was ok.But she's been lame ever since iv had 2 vets out to her who dont know what the problem is.When you ride her in walk she is fine but when you trot her you can feel a stifness on one side.the side the pelvis had rotated onto.one vet put it down to stifness and said use her as a broodmare.which i dont want to do.He said if i were to take her to a specialist it would cost £3000.as its so far up in the muscle of her leg..So for the time being iv got her on as much turnout as possible and am giving her some blue chip dynamic in the hope next spring she comes sound again..Anyone had similar problems/ experiences????
