Bit of a long story but here goes...

Horse started rearing all of a sudden when asked for turn on forehand on one rein. He has shiatsu and she came shortly after and said he was very stiff through his shoulder and slightly down his neck and through his rib cage. She predicted a possible slip in field. After another 2 sessions he hadnt improved as she hoped and his behaviour continued. At this point I got the vet out. By the time they came he was lame, not horrendous but def lameness. All through this he has shown bad reaction to flexing the leg up, shooting his head up and leaning back on his hinds. Next a week of bute followed, no better. Then knee x rays done but nothing obvious came up. Now on bute for a week and have been told to ride him. Still showing signs of lameness...

The second vet that came to do x rays left saying that he will be sound once he comes off it and "job done" kind of attitude.

Just wondered if anyone had any comments as this has been going on since beginning of December now?!

I would get a referral to a better vet. ;)

That is, of course, if the second vet is wrong about your horse being right when he comes off bute.
