Our usually quite relaxed and snoozy at home Ivy has been a bit stressy this morning and last night - panting, digging and whining. I'm wondering what might be triggering it and if anyone has any ideas about this/how we can help her.
Last night I thought she might have heard a firework we didn't hear - the fizzy crackly ones seen to upset her more than loud bangs. The previous couple of evenings there definitely were fireworks and she managed those fairly well. I took away an unfinished marrow bone in case it was starting to go off then she settled for the night although of course that could be coincidence.
This morning we've been on a walk, she froze a couple of times as it was busier than usual and in protest at OH going off a different way. Usually she'd come in, have some water and be flat out snoozing once cooled down but she's back to pacing, scratching the floor/her bed and whining.
She seems physically well (tips on anything I can check at home gratefully taken!) She did leave a bit of her breakfast which is a first but finished it off after the walk.
