I've just started giving my mare NAF Blood Liquid and it seems to be perking her up nicely. However I'm confused by how to use it and was wondering if anyone could help? The bottle is very vague and just says I should use it for a minimum of 10 days. So my question is should I only give it to her when she gets a bit low, before I do something I think she'll need energy for or all of the time? Sorry if this sounds like a numpty question but I've heard that it can very easily turn the wrong way and make horses go wild and so I don't want to use it in correctly.
Thanks in advance.

No but vet said it was worth giving it a try and instructor said it was also worth giving it a go before geting a blood test as it's cheaper.

Initially best to use it just when she needs a boost, Pickle has these kind of supplements regularly but he is fairly unusual and have had lots of blood tests etc and vets now reccommended he stayed on this kind of supplement in small doses daily. I would generally just give them enough for a boost occastionally.

The bottle used to have two caps on it, one with a built in measuring bottle. I'd give a measure of that each day until the bottle is finished to boost your horse, then only if a boost is needed. I and several others i know have used this on advice of vet and have found it to be excellent
