hi all,

after the energy supplement I'm currently using being discontinued I'm looking for a new one. both NAF energG and Equine America pro-pell plus seem like good alternatives but I'm torn between the two. are they both safe for every day use and which one would you recommend?

thank you!!

Haven't used the NAF one, but use Propell every day, definitely notice a difference.

Equine America do a better one again but the price is too much for me - sorry can't remember the name :)

They work quite differently so would be best to do a trial of each and see what effect they have :) propell is a blood tonic, helps with respiration etc (actual movement of gases in and out of blood and around body) ener-g is a high energy addition to what you are feeding:) I've used both, but used propell as more of a pick me up in the middle of winter and kept mine nice, bit energ worked in summer when propell didn't :) horses for courses! Xx

Ditto Liffweed - they don't have the same action. I use both (not at the same time) but for different things. You really need to know what is in your current energy supplement and why you use it (other than because it works of course! I mean what it is designed to combat.)

Thanks everyone, think I'm going to start off with the NAF enerG as its more like what I'm currently using and its slightly cheaper!

G's been on Propel for 3 or 4 years now - she had an immune system problem as well as a blood problem so we give her a bit of a helping hand. Some people say it really whizzes their horses off, I've not noticed that with her but she's naturally very forward anyway.
