I am due to take my boy up to my parents for xmas and i wanted a calmer to take the edge off him and make the journey more comfortable. He is not a bad traveller but its quite a long way to go.
I bought the Magic instant syringe calmer and it is currently buy 2 get 1 free so i thought one as a test one for the way and one for the way back!
I gave him the tester one on the evening i bought it as the next day i was hacking with a spooky pony and the instructions said give either 1-1/12 hours before competing or the night before. Well ive never seen anything like it! My extra grumpy sometimes stressy boy who hates anyone but me (most of the time) became so placid to the point where other liverys that wouldnt go near him usually were in with him hugging him and laughting at how quiet he had gone! It literally took about 10 minutes and i was unsure as to whether he was feeling sorry for himself or it was working! we hacked out with the pony and he was good as gold if a bit lazier than what i am used to!
So basically i thought i would share this with you all incase some of you were wondering. It definitley worked for my boy. he is 16hh Selle Francais gelding who has a few "issues" with people he isnt sure of and a all round attitude problem (Hand reared and cut late)
