Have seen a few posts recently about people feeding pink powder. What does it do exactly? I'm wanting to get a bit of condition on my old girl and someone mentioned it to me but when I asked them about it they didn't seem to know much!

So guys tell me all about it please

Hi my old 29yo tb has this as she lost alot of condition in winter so i thought id try it along with ready mash extra. The pink powder works by making sure their gut is balanced so they can digest food properly therefor getting the best out of the food you are feeding. Im sure there is a more technical explanation.

Basically its a feed balancer which aids your digestion and gets the gut working well, because it contains yeasts and probiotics, so it helps your horse to get everything it out of what you put in, healthy gut equals healthy coat, skin, hooves, muscles...and so on.

Some people use it to kick start the horse back into condition if they are a little poor, wintered badly or been on medication, some use it all the time, if something works well why stop using it.

Yes just checked the website there blurb is........

<font color="purple"> Pink Powder
Pink Powder contains live probiotic yeast and prebiotics to optimise gut function and balance the diet, allowing your horse to fully utilize his feed intake and gain perfect condition. Pink Powder is the most cost effective feed balancer you can buy. Plus, it helps your horse optimise his diet. So you feed less and save on hard feed

My mare has put weight on lovely and im sure its helped along with her new feed. Both my girls have lovely shiney soft coats too (i feed Boss as well).

I'm not sure about how it all works in terms of digestion etc but I can tell you about my experience of it.

My pony was a ill last year and for the first time in his life was very skinny. Although he was willing to eat he couldn't manage anything like enough food in a day to help him build up again - despite feeding him 3 or 4 small meals a day.

Because his digestive system was already under stress with meds etc I didn't want to over load it further by pumping a range of different products into him. He'd never been fed concentrate as such as I didn't want to start adding complex feed when his tummy was so fragile. So I wanted just to give him alpha beet and a single supplement would help re establish a healthy gut, give him extra minerals etc and help him make the most of the feed he was getting

I put him on PP and was really amazed at the results and quite literally within a few days I could see a bit improvement in his general well being and by the end of the week could see the weight coming back on.

I'm a huge fan now and keep a tub of it at home at all times - just in case.

My horse loves his PP, he eats it before all his other food!! It really brought him back up to scratch when he was out on poor grazing.

Great stuff, can't rate it highly enough.
