Anybody had any experience with this supplement?
we're trying my boy on it because he is prone to abcesses in his foot because of a weak horn, so anything with to much impact stabs right through.

one of the other horses on the yard used to have terrible feet and has been on this for a couple of years now and he's not had a problem since, just wondered what your veiws and experiences are??

thankyou =]

oh and sorry about my spelling, it's awful tonight!

Have been giving Pro-Feet to our Oldenburg with previously dreadful feet for about 18 months, they are still not perfect, but much much better, so I would recommend it

love it - my boy used to throw shoes left, right and centre!! He also used to mash his feet up so we couldn't get another shoe on for a couple of weeks!! He's been on pro-feet for about a year now and the farrier can't believe the difference - his shoes now last for 6-8weeks and they take them off!!!!!

This stuff does exactly what it says on the tin; improves feet! My tb went through a really bad patch last year, for 6 months he constantly lost his off fore shoe, taking a bit of foot with it every time, less to nail onto, easier to pull off, once pulled off a fresh shoe before my farrier had left the yard! (I learnt some new expletives that day)!! Tried Pro Foot, and saw an improvement within two weeks. Also had racing plates put on him (fitted flush to the foot so not possible for him to stand on the shoe) and kept him in mid-day so not stamping on hard ground when flies are most abundent. Honestly, he never lost another shoe for over 6 months and that was when my very wet fields started to dry out and become like glue.
I think the science is something like this; the nutrients which feed hoof growth also support hair and skin, yet you don't often see bad hair/skin in horses with bad feet, so there may be something stopping enough absorption, or preventing it going to the feet. Naf Pro Feet supports the liver and other vital organs so helping the horse absorb more of what he needs. Try it, you won't regret it!

Thanks Guys, we're starting him on it asap, and judjing by the positives I've heard and the one i have seen i'm pretty optimistic that it will work, so thanks again! =]
