i've fed it to my boy for over a year now. Never heated him up and to be honest he is pretty sensitive so if it was going to heat anything up it would be him!!! Think it's great stuff.
i've personnel been impressed with my gg's progess BUT it will take a few more months to see if we've turn corner with feet.
I've personnel not heard or seen a bad result (YET) ....... BUT i'm hoping it works and will be waiting to see and hear if my farrier is less grumpy about state of this feet!!! i'm hoping it gives him more foot to work with!
My farrier will let me know very quickly
ps.............. goes in feed and for my boy last about 40days for about £26.00
Mine wouldn't touch the stuff - very frusrating as introduced it very gradually but still wasted a lot of feed. Now back on Naf's own biotin and am definitely seeing results at lower cost.
Hmm my lad has been on it now for about a month or two and when I had my last lesson my instructer passed comment "what on earth are you feeding him on".
I hadn't changed anything bar putting him on pro feet, so perhaps it does fuel them up a little, he is certainly on his toes .
His feet have actually got growth on them so much so that when the farrier came to the yard he looked at my lad and said " Blimey he looks like he is ready for a trim " nothing really interesting in that comment but it is the FIRST time since I have owned him that he is ready and not pulled them off.
May be sheer coincidence but I am going to carry on with pro feet and just suffer having a "hot" horse.
I started using the liquid form of Profeet three months ago after it was recommended by the farrier. Horses feet were a mess when we got him but have improved dramatically with the Profeet. Dosage is 25mls per day in feed so the boy doesn't even notice its there. Liquid Profeet is a bit pricey though at around £25 a bottle which lasts just over a month but you can get it in larger bottles so is pro-rata cheaper. Shoeing needs to be prompt though at regualr intervals (my boy is every six weeks exactly) as it does promote good growth. From start to finish it will take about a year for all old horn to grow out.
