I seem to have been really fortunate with mine, he has a very soft, silky coat and doesn't need clipping!

Thanks all, she looks better than I thought she would and you can really see her spots again.

I was hoping to leave her long, her coat was a lovely shiny liver colour until about ten months, then it changed in parts to horrible light fluffy - groomer says it’s due to spaying?

Be easier to manage though I suppose as she is a real mud monster!

Yep spaying does change thier coat - it goes sort of fluffier - but is definitely easier to manage the mud and water etc when they are clipped.

They've done a really nice job, where did you take her ? Thats the length I want when I get mine done next year, I did her myself this year, it looks ok but I thought I'd get her done properly next year

Oh yes she's very good at huffy, a real pro in fact! Thanks for all the lovely comments, I think she's gorgeous but am of course biased.

Forgave me as soon as the lead came out though. It's definitely made a difference to her comfort levels, not as warm in the heat, dries quicker when wet (which is 95% of the time ) and only had to pick three sticky burs out of ears last night rather than the three hundred or so we were doing nightly last week.

Got her done at the local groomers, just up the road from us, we are in Gateshead area so pm if you want details. Woman is lovely and listened to all of my ramblings about being scared she’d look like a skinned rabbit etc etc. And despite the huffy appearance Bramble really likes her too.
