At last...My horses have gone out to play naked today...Well all bar 1, who is newly clipped and grey - oh - and addicted to mud! They are loving sunbathing now, just a shame that the weather is supposed to be rainy the next few days : (

It seems like this winter has gone on for months and months, Everyone keeps moaning about rugs having to be changed etc and can't wait for the sun so they can be naked ( or nearly anyways ) But I bet this time in 8 weeks time everyone will be moaning about skinking of citronella fly spray all day every day - that smell doesn't seem to go away for the whole summer!

I cannot wait for them to be able to go out 24/7 and have no more mucking out ( baby is due in May and I am finding mucking out at least 5 a day quite tiring now... )

I share your joy. Mine has gone out nekked for the first time today and although I know he will come in tonight bearing a close resemblance to a hippo it was really good to see him basking in the sunshine this morning.

I'd love to have had mine out for a few hours today sans rug, but he's still quite hairless - and it was -2 this morning when I turned out.

Hey ho - a few more weeks and it will be off. But I agree with you about the winter. It does seem to have gone on and on........

Mine is out with his fly rug on, got him in at lunchtime to ride and he has already been bitten on his sheath so looks like the fly spray needs to come out as well.

Deffo need to get fly spray out and fly rug *sniff* Mine is stood in his barn naked - only one I hasten to add! Thing is it is cold first thing but then it gets warm - I spend most lunchtimes de-rugging the horses of those who work/are at school, as they are stood sweating
