This beautiful girl will hopefully be joining our happy family.

She is about 6months old and is a German Shepherd cross, we think she has some collie in her.

She is currently called Roxy but Im not that keen on it.

Im racking my brains trying to think of a nice and maybe unusual name for her.

So, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, thanks

.How about Foxy cos it sounds similar. We got our Rottie at 6 months and she was called Sage. I wasn't keen on that to begin with but didn't think it was fair to change her name at that age. Couldn't think of anything I liked that sounded similar so kept the name and now I quite like it. It's different anyway!!

She is lovely, doesn't look crossed to my untrained eye though we did have GSDs for years!
I like Roxy....we wanted to call our foal that but my mum said it sounded harsh.
Agree that Foxy is nice though.
Good luck with her, do you know her history?

Fabulous ears!

I'm never sure about changing dog's names because they know the sound. But how about going for something that sounds similar - Rocket or Rosy perhaps?

She doesn't look like a cross to me. She looks as if she might be a blue ,is her saddle black or a dusky grey? I have seen Shepherds from champion stock with quite a bit of white on them. What makes you think she has some collie in her? Can't really help with the name, we struggled to find a name for our pup. I actually quite like Roxy too.

OMG, she looks so much like my nannas old dog, she was my best mate when i was a tiny wee thing, she was called Dusty ( after Ms Springfield).
Oh she is so lovely, i love the second photo - lucky you xxxxx

She is a very small shep for her age and with her white markings on her face especially around her nose and her chest we thought that there may be some collie in there. Other than that she acts completly like a shep.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. There are some really good ideas there

She's adorable. How about Nora Batty 'cos of the bat ears..sorry but she has!!!

I like Foxy too but even if you change it completely she'll learn it as soon as the new name is attached to some treats

She could just have had a bad start and that is why she is small for her age, presume as she is a rescue you don't really know her history. Whatever she is she is gorgeous, you will have to keep us updated on her progress.

She was found on the streets in Liverpool last week and is in a foster home at the moment. We are amazed that no-one has turned up to claim her

but her week is up and she is officially up for re-homing.

Aah bless her. So glad she has been rescued. My daughter is at university in Liverpool and they have a lot of the dogs from the stray dog pound for their dissection classes
