Name ideas?

Need some inspiration for a horse name! Dam is Doriann Gray and father is Bollin Terry.

Having discovered that Bollin Terry's Grand-dam is called Nicholas Grey, I'd like to keep the colour theme! And River is definitely a bay!

So *somethingorother* Bay!

Any ideas? You lot are normally so usefull at this!

I had a lovely youngster called Melody (sire was Ebony Hill) and she was dark bay like her dad I spent ages trying to find a good showname that had Ebony or Hill or Melody in it.

In the end I googled "horses names" and there are loads of websites on there listing favourite names etc. I found one site and chose "Melody Maker" (apparantly was a music magazine years ago).

Try googling and see what comes up might give you some ideas. Why not go for "Bollin Bay" that takes in colour and daddy!

I am rubbish at names, but when i saw the *somethingorother* bit for a second i was like 'what????' 'me??' aha... narcisism coming out there

I like Bollin Bay, it has a ring to it. Or you could spell bay with an e instead- 'Bey'. I've seen that in other names and think it sounds more feminine. Although it is often in arabs names so you would have to make sure it wasn't liked with a certain breeder or anything.

The only problem with Bollin Bay/Bey is that I don't think I'm allowed to use Bollin as a prefix!

Foaly's stable name is River, but from conception to birth she was called Nemo (as in Finding Nemo... Mother was named Dorey after the fish!!!)

So... The Australian bay names are going down a storm!! I also just thought of Sydney Bay - as it's where they found Nemo! (well, sydney harbour... technically...)
