With my mare showing signs she is likely to have her foal shortly, I want to try and think of some names for this baby, though my imagination is rubbish and so I have come on here to seek all of you wonderful lots ideas :)

Mum is called Black Gold Damson and dad is called Slammer. Full sister is called Kilters Krystal Clear so perhaps something with Kilters at the begining. Will be a TB X Welsh and possibly coloured. I am going to find out the name of the farm or the area where my mare came from, as this foal will be the breeders last so want to commemerate him somehow, so will post that as soon as I know.

And away you all go. Look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Kilters Gold Slammer
Damsons Slammer
Kilters Golden Krystal
Kilters Golden Tequilla (Slammer!)

Just to check that you can use "Kilters" as a prefix? It's not registered to anyone else's stud? Very excited to see pics when your new arrival makes an appearance! :D

I don't think it is his prefix as not all of his youngstock have that at the begining. I will be double checking though. I quite like your first suggestion :) and your last.

The prefix is registered so you cannot use it, all prefixes are registered with the central prefix register so very easy to check before trying to use something.

I think Tequila is clever as a name for the foal.

Ah thank you be positive. Yep that was the breeder my mare came from. Yes I like Golden Tequila. what could it be shortened to for stable name?

Depends whether it's a colt or a filly I suppose but maybe Quila for a filly? Or could it have a totally different "pet" name depending on day to day character? My friend has a foal with a lovely long Cornish name as it's registered name but it's currently known as Asbo in the yard!!! :D

Brilliant! I do like Tequila as it is different. Well full sister is called Monkey on the yard :) Could be tempting to call it an animal begining with M but I don't like Mouse or Moose

Kilters Grand Slam (Not sure what could be a stable name!)
Kilters Black Krystal -Krissy? (f)
Kilters Obsidian - Sid? xD (m)

Kilters Last Goldrush - (m/f) To celebrate being the last foal =]

Hope you liked the suggestions =]

Slam Dunk - stable name Duncan if it's a colt
Aztec Gold if it's coloured
Golden Plum
Black Diamond
Champagne Gold (as in Krystal) - Goldie if it's a filly

Just to let you all know who suggested names, he has been called Aquila. Passport name will be Golden Tequila Sunset :)

Wow, lovely name, we stayed at the Aquila Elounda Resort in Crete last year the name Aquila has the following meaning

Aquila is a constellation in the northern sky. Its name is Latin for 'eagle' and it represents the bird who carried Zeus/Jupiter's thunderbolts in Greco-Roman mythology.

The name may indicate a horse built for speed :) :)
