Name my new horse

Hi all, Just bought a new horse and need to name him. (Bought from a dealer who didn't know his stable name) Any suggestions please?

He is a black welsh section D cob gelding, 15.2hh. He is glossy black, and quite a pretty face, but quite chunky in his body. His registered name is Cwrfanan Barbarian. I'd like to give him a powerful name, or a name connected with Barbarian (greek I think?). Thought of warrior, but sounds a bit 'thuggish'. Though of twilight, but not sure.

well it's not do to with what you want, but if i could name a horse, it'd be Jake, i think it's such a sweet name for a horse :P

My friend came up with a name yesterday (not for your horse - we just thought iy was a good name) you can steal it if you like? Maximum
 
Hi. Think the Greek barbarians were a rather iffy lot weren't they. What about the Rugby connection? Those Barbarians are a pretty chunky lot and then there's the All BLACKS. The nickname for the Barbarians Rugby side is the Baa-baas but you might not fancy that although of course you have the black connection again as in Baabaa BLACK sheep!! What about Scrumhalf? Good luck.

1st off you need photobucket. upload the pics onto there. then when you post under the 'instant mark-up' bit you'll see image. click on the photobucket image direct link (it'll be under the picture). click on image on where you're posting and paste the link onto there.

My name is wendy, and I know your horse very well.
I broke him in. His stable name is Corker!! And what a Corker he is!! Corker is a really great horse and will take you as far as you want to go!! He does need a firm hand but with a bit of hard work he will respect you. Hope that you have fun with him.

Hi Wendy, WOW, how lucky to find on this forum the lady who broke him in!

He has settled in ok. He would put his ears back at me for the first 2 days, but I ignored this as he didn't know me etc. I get the feeling he could take the mickey if he thought you were a weak leader.

i've hacked him out alone and in company, and he will nap if he sees something he's not sure about (if we are in company he will duck behind the horse in front)

Was he well behaved with you / give you any challenges you remember?
