I got them from 'equinesque' on e-bay. I sent pics of horses and they painted it on the wood with their name and then varnished. they are a great likeness. They are really lovely.
try this chap - art on wood. I have them for all the horse on my yard - he does in hard wood as well as soft wood and I just danish oil them . We buy every livery horse one once they have been on the yard 6 months. He will put a cartoon/picture on the sign and its carved into the wood. Fantastic quality and really stylish and a really good price too. I have just ordered four name plates and they have come to £40 including postage - I possibly get a discount as I have ordered about 20 in the past 12 months
I have just bought one of these for my friends birthday. You email her a picture of the horse and she hand paints it on for you. It looked absolutely fabulous and, as I was a little less than organised at getting the birthday present, it only took a week from ordering to the plaque arriving! Would highly reccommend.
