So I don't normally post in here (hi everyone :D) but in need of a bit of help!
We've just bought ourselves a lovely little project (overgrown) pony (well, according to my husband a project pony, but according to myself and the kids she's here to stay :D ;))
Only problem is she hasn't got a name! We bought her over from Ireland and the poor thing is registered as 'Pony' and has no stable name.
So I came here for suggestions!
About her: 15.2hh, 4yo mare. ISH - quite fine though. Dapple grey at the mo, but will probably end up as white. Her sire's stable name was Bouncy. Haven't got pictures as of yet - need to neaten her up a bit!
So names please! I don't mind whether something to do with Bouncy is in the name or not.
Virtual cake for anyone who comes up a name :D

Springy Thingy? ;)
Connie - does she have Connemara (sp?) in her?
Cloud
Snowdrop ??
Ball :D
Blossom
GreyGirl - (I knew a GreyBoy!)
And, as I ride a horse with this name .... Cobweb!
Also like Pony.. it is different!

My grey is called Candyfloss (she was born chestnut so went through a pink stage as she greyed out) but I've also known a Shadow, Kestrel, Bunny, Silver, Sapphire... and lots more that will come to me if I strain the little grey cells enough. ;)

Have to say, I actually like Pony- it has a story to it, and is quite cute :)

Considering one of our ponies is called 'Horse' - we thought we might change it up a bit! Though it would be quite funny to go to an event with the two of them - Horse the pony, and Pony the Horse! :D

Haha, my niece said that too :D

We thought about Spring! But she's so laid back, to the point of falling over ;) we love Cobweb though!!!

If she's going to go white....Bounty.....like the coconut choc bar?

We love this too!!

My little mare Bronwen was called Blue, which I think is a nice name.

We've had a pony called 'Bluey'! He was actually blue though, a lovely roan colour :D

Haha, thank you for all of these! We like Silver! We're doing a family thinking-cap session tonight :D

If anyone has any other suggestions they'd be much appreciated... I have a severe lack of creativity! :D

I'm going to suggest some Tokien names! - What?! I've been listening to LotR on audio tape!!)

Valarin, Asfaloth, Bumpkin, Stybba, Snowmane, Windfola, Mearas, Roheryn!

I always wanted to call a horse "the prancing pony" the name of the in in The Lord of the rings. :D :D

Prancey is similar to bouncy
Pony continues the theme...

Only mentioned it as it was a dream name of mine but probably not what you were looking for.

On the other hand... I like cirque du soleil for a show name... Goes with the whole bouncy thing, solly or cirque for short

My passport company charges £10 for a name change.

I used to know a grey pony called Cobweb. Lovely name. I also like Bounty. My suggestion is Smokey, or Cloud. Liath is lovely, you could spell it an english phonetic way.

Thank you everyone! :D
Right now we're into the grey-ish names - Cloud, Cobweb, Silver, Frosty, Misty, Smokey... :) We're going to try and incorporate them into a registered name, or find another cool grey thing to name her :D
The only name my husband came up with was 'Brown'... Oh dear :D

A couple of unusual ones.... Mellow, blithe, serene/rene, dove, shadow, pearl, mouse ...

My previous, much loved and missed grey mare was called Cloud, which particularly suited her as she had blueish patches. So of course I am going to suggest Cloud!

Arian. Ah-ree-an.

Means Silver, also cash/money. Welsh not Irish though.

I called a grey mare of mine Arian, ever read In the Pink? That is her :D
