Names - Don't understand

how does your horse get a show name? my boy is Oscar, passport says Harley (was started a few months before we got him) and he doesn't have a show name...

how do you get a real show name, and is it possible to change the name on the passport?

mine's show names are the ones on the passport, welshies so can't change them....

Mine are all registered with the breed society so they already had their names. I had 6 foals to register this year and choose names for them all - what a blooming nightmare it was! Every foal had to have 6 choices of names - I struggled thinking up 1 name, let alone 36! But then I am renowned for being totally useless at thinking up names

I'm not sure whether you can change the name on the passport however can't you just use a different name for showing?

Whats wrong with Harley? i think short sharp names are much more with it these days!
