hi,
Do many studs/breeders have nanny mares? and if you were looking for one, where would you find one? word of mouth, companion ads etc?
My reason for posting is IHave been given the task of rehomig a mare for a livery of mine, she is an excellent nanny and is well, perfect to be out with foals! Over the years mares have foaled in the same field as her (that was nothing to do with me as i wouldnt have risked it!) and she is currently out with my foal and i would say its her ideal job... but - where do you advertise such a mare? none of the local studs have the right facilities for her as ideally she needs to live out all year. I'd had sooo many people email after her but they all want to either breed from her, ride her or want her delivering to the other side of the country which the owners are not prepared to pay for.
Any suggestions of what i can try?
