I have just bought a 4 yr old who is very crappy at feed time. when you go to give him his bucket he circles you, throws his bum towards you (i wouldn't trust him not to kick).
then when he is eating he pulls faces at you if you try to touch him or swings his bum towards you.
he will also kick out at the other horses over the fence.
i appreciate he like his space but i need to teach him some manners as my mum might occasionaly have to feed him and it would terrify her and i do not want him hurting anyone.
all our other horses can be fed in the field together (5 of them) and rugges while they are eating and you certainly can't put a rug on him while he is eating.
any advice??
