I'm in the market for a jumping saddle.

I want a secure feel, with a narrow twist, a reasonably deep seat (not flat), and non-slippery leather! Too much to ask? I think not, surely that would be the most comfortable saddle in the world? I'm 5'8" with a reasonably long leg, but I suppose normal for my height. I don't have a lot of flexibility in my back and hips, which is why a narrow twist is now important for me.

I would like some saddle brand and model suggestions please, so that I can go and have a look before getting my saddler to fit it to my horse.

I like how stubbens feel, but the ones I've tried for my horse don't suit him so well, and my saddler doesn't like them.
A lot of people seem to have the Albion K2 jump, but my sj trainer has advised against Albions and says they are too padded and you feel too far away from the horse. Also, I thought the Albion leather is not very grippy.

My horse is a tricky fit, (very large, chunky TB with a very high wither and slight hollowing below) so my saddler will probably have to order it, and have it made for my horse, after I have chosen the 'one'. In the past I have always got saddles to fit the horse, rather than suit me, which is obviously the most important thing, but I have got to the point where I want a performance saddle, which is going to give me maximum comfort and security, as well as being the perfect fit for my horse.

I have had many 'off the peg' saddles fitted to him, but none have been perfect for him. We have added extra flocking, risers and gel pads, but these are just 'band aids'. I want to start some serious work, so now I have to bite the bullet and get the perfect saddle for me and him.

All you showjumpers out there, what is your favourite jumping saddle?
