My pony has been showing some signs of hay fever so I have just called the vet who suggested a nose net and some Pirinase nasal spray.

I can't imagine my pony being too up for having some squirted up his nose! My vet said she'd think he'd be OK, so what are your experiences of squirting things up Neddy's nose!

I tried one and my horse was OK but he's pretty good with that sort of thing. It didn't seem to work though. I now use just a nose net as that's the only thing I found that worked.

I had to use an inhaler for my boy. I was a bit concerned about how he would react but he was as good as gold. Initially he threw his head up in the air but with a bit of patience he soon got the hang of it and was no trouble at all.

I have two horse's with hayfever - one positively leans down into the spray like an addict don't even need to put a headcollar on her in the field, the other is a bit more fidgety depending on how she's feeling, they are all individuals..
