nathe cartwheel bit

have just bought one of these it came with rubber bit rings already on it does anyone know if you have to use it with these on or not,thanks

I have a nathe american gag and spring jumping bit, both have bit rings on them.. I think they are just standard, although I have left mine on I don't think you have to use them if you don't want

ok thanks foxglove,l think l will leave them on for now and see what happens

The nathe bits can have big holes which potentially can rub the fatter lipped horse. Nathe have therefore put their fairly discreet bit rings on.

I wouldn't remove them, as with that bit you can never use it for dressage anyway
